Along with the preexisting 2025 roadmap (which is going mostly as planned), I’ve kind of given myself a new challenge for this year: reaching out to new audiences and participating in more group sales and similar activities. In a way, it’s not really fully about sales themselves — it’s a rough year for everyone in self-publishing, and I’m lucky in that I don’t need to survive on writing income. It’s more that moving into new stores gives me more ways to try different things.
And I do want to find more readers, in that I write oddball stuff that doesn’t appeal to most people, but that does appeal to a few. I do, after all, put my work out into the world for a reason: because I find it satisfying to share. Branching out can help with that, especially since the non-Amazon stores don’t rely on algorithms to connect books with readers.
All of this is a long-winded intro to saying that there are some sales coming up. If you’re here, you’ve probably already read at least one of my books, but there are other books in them that you might also like. (Getting into sales is a win-win for me, frankly: I might find more of an audience, and I tend to buy books from them too.)
Starting April 15, on itch.io: Spring Resilience Bundle

This is a bundle of 32 games, poetry collections, zines, tabletop RPGs, and novels around the theme of hope, healing, rest and growth. The base price for everything is $25 USD, with the proceeds split between the creators. I’m looking forward to this one, not only because it’s my first bundle on itch.io, but because it’s a fantastic theme.
If you haven’t bought books (or anything) from itch.io before, it’s worth a try — it’s become my primary means of buying books lately, especially since I’m focusing on reading more indies. Most are available in epub, pdf or both, which can be side-loaded onto ereaders or read on a computer or in a mobile app.
May 16 only, various stores: Cozy the Day Away

It’s back! CTDAS (I think they prefer CDAS, I keep throwing “the” in there) is planning to have two sale days this year, in May and October. Last time they had over 100 books from the cozy neighborhood, tagged with representation and other factors as well as subgenre.
So those are two things to look forward to. On to the day’s editing!
